Day 1

Windhoek

Upon arrival at the airport you are welcomed by our local representative. You receive your rental car and drive to your hotel.

You still have a lot of day left to discover Windhoek and to soak up the atmosphere..

Day 2

Otjiwarongo

Otjiwarango is a bustling town where farmers from the area trade and do their shopping.

It is also considered the cheetah capital of the country. The Cheetah Conservation Fund is located 40 km outside the city limits.

WATERBERG PLATEAU LODGE 4*

Day 3

Etosha National Park East

Drive straight to Etosha National Park. On location, you pay the necessary park fees for the duration of your stay in this beautiful game park. This is the largest wildlife park in Namibia and it is, thanks to its low-growing vegetation, one of the best places to spot the Big Five in southern Africa.

MUSHARA BUSH CAMP 4*

Day 4 - 5

Etosha National Park West

Today you drive across the national park from east to west and settle in your new lodge. Today and tomorrow you can enjoy spotting big and small games and with some luck all of the Big Five.

Day 6 - 7

Twyfelfontein

Those who wish to do so can make a little detour to The Petrified Forest or the other attractions of Damaraland along the way. Your final destination today is the Under the Stars Keyi Yovikamba Camp, 18 km from Twyfelfontein. This tent camp, where you stay for the next two nights in half-board accommodation, is the perfect starting point to explore the beautiful landscapes of Damaraland.

Looking for some ideas for a visit today on day 7? Why not admire the more than 3000-year-old rock paintings of Twyfelfontein, the burnt mountain (Burnt Mountain), or the organ pipes made of volcanic rock.

MADISA CAMP

Day 8 - 9

Swakopmund

Departure to the village of Uis where you can see the 2,573 meters high Brandberg. Next Henties Bay is on the program. Via Walvis Bay you reach Swakopmund, a "gemütlich" town with Bavarian accents on the Atlantic Ocean.

In the morning you go on a catamaran trip to spot pelicans, seals, dolphins and even whales (June-November). Around midday, you moor at Walvis Bay where your guide awaits for a 4x4 adventure. At the Walvis Bay Lagoon flamingos abound while on the Kuiseb River delta you are likely to spot some springboks. Next you head to Sandwich Harbour and via the marshes and the dunes of the central Namib Desert you return to the Waterfront of Walvis Bay where you left your car. En route you can enjoy a lunch including oysters and beverages.

THE DELIGHT 4*

Day 10 - 11

Sossusvlei

Start out at dawn on day 11 and drive to the dunes of the oldest desert in the world. When you visit the famous and popular Dune 45 it is important to arrive first to really enjoy its uniqueness.

The last 5 km can only be bridged by jeep (extras to be paid on the spot). Do stop at the Dodevlei or 'valley of death'. before you return to your lodge.

Aus

Aus borders the Namib and Naukluft park and owes its fame mainly to the diversity of bird species found here as well as to the collection of typical Karoo, desert and the Nama Karoo fauna.

KLEIN AUS VISTA 4*

Day 13 - 14

Fish River Canyon

A visit to the second largest canyon in Africa and third largest in the world is the main reason why you go to this remote, rugged region.

Over the centuries the 650 kilometers long Fish River has carved its way and produced a profound gorge in the black limestone and sandstone. Something to take a closer look at, no? Exactly. Enquire about guided hikes in your lodge for your additional day of exploration tomorrow.

Day 15

Mariental

You drive north towards Mariental, a prosperous town on the border of the Kalahari, where the main focus is on agriculture.

Day 16

Windhoek

From Mariental the road is tarred again. Along the way you can buy some last souvenirs or local produce in Okahandja or at one of the many stalls along the road.

In Windhoek you return the rental car and hop on board of your flight home or to your next destination.
