You arrive at Johannesburg OR Tambo airport during the course of the morning. You can pick up your car at the airport or consider having it delivered to your hotel tomorrow. If you arrive early in the morning you have all day to discover its different neighbourhoods.

Day 2 - 3
Hoedspruit
Today you will leave for a scenic drive to the Wild Rivers Nature Reserve in the surroundings of the Kruger National Park. Your final destination is the Rukiya Safari Camp where you stay 2 nights in a River View tent. You can expect daily included game drives and organized bush walks. Spot the Big Five, learn all about fascinating animals and enjoy life on the wild side.

You drive along the famous Panorama Route to Hazyview and visit the Blyde River Canyon and its rondavels, Bourke's Luck potholes and God's Window.

Lobamba
Your journey continues via the kingdom of Swaziland! If you have booked a morning safari in the Kruger Park please take into account the borders operating hours in order to enter Swaziland, a country the size of Wallonia in Belgium. Enjoy the varied, hilly landscape, the vibrant African culture and its colourful markets.

Day 6
Bonamanzi
Swaziland is so small that you are back at the border with South Africa in no time. Today's destination is the Hluhluwe Umfolozi Park. A safari is included in the Bonamanzi Lalapanzi Camp. You can therefore better arrive on time and enjoy it to the max.

Day 7
Salt Rock
From Hluhluwe Umfolozi Park you head towards Durban. Along the way you may want to stop for a cruise on Lake St Lucia, a World Heritage Site. The road from St Lucia to Durban hugs the coastline and passes many sugar cane fields; the produce Kwazulu Natal is most famous for. Check in to your hotel and stroll along the Durban beach promenade with its quaint little stalls; go for a swim in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean; visit UShaka Marine World or indulge in a real Indian curry, Durban’s speciality.

Day 8 - 9
Plettenberg Bay
On day 8 you board your domestic flight (not included) to Port Elizabeth or P.E as it is referred to locally and find yourself in Plett in no time. This cozy village is has a pleasant holiday feel to it. En-route make sure to stop at the Tsitsikamma National Park for a walk along the shore of the Indian Ocean or across Storm's River Bridge. On day 9 you can continue your exploration of the region surrounding Plettenberg Bay at leisure The beaches here are among the most beautiful in the country and you can choose from a whole range of outdoor activities.

Day 10
Oudtshoorn
On your way to Oudtshoorn, you should definitely stop at Knysna, the capital of the Garden Route, and take some time to browse the area, taste its delicious oysters or discover the Featherbed Nature reserve. Next, your path will lead you through the Klein Karoo and across the magnificent Outeniqua pass into the ostrich capital of the world, Oudtshoorn. Here everything turns around ostrich farms and produce, made of every single part of the bird: feathers, shin, meat, and eggs. The Cango caves in the neighborhood are definitely worth your while.

Day 11 - 12
Stellenbosch
A Golden Tip? Rise early and go meet the meerkats! Today the superlatives will pile up again as you drive along with one of the most beautiful routes in South Africa; the emblematic Route 62. Between Oudtshoorn and Montagu, she makes her way in-between the mountains to eventually end up in a valley. This awesome ride takes you all the way to the heart of the wine region and famous Stellenbosch. In the 17th century, the Dutch colonists brought French Huguenots to the Cape to assist them with the viticulture. Gastronomy and world-famous wines place this wine region prominently on the map. Visit some of the more than 120 wineries and enjoy the beautiful landscapes.

Day 13 - 14
Cape Town
A mere 50 km separates you from the final destination of this self-drive, Cape Town. When entering the Mother City you cannot miss them: the stunning views of the iconic Table Mountain. Hike up the mountain or take a cable ride up and explore this exciting city at your own pace. An extra day is just perfect to discover the peninsula. Drive to the old naval Simon’s Town and discover the colonial façades and atmosphere. Just a little further you can take the turn off for Boulders Beach. Here you can admire a colony Jack Ass penguins, picnic on the beach, or go for a morning swim between the penguins. Cape of Good Hope lies at the end of this ocean-hugging road. Drive back via Scarborough and the stunningly scenic Chapman’s peak drive to Hout Bay. Don’t miss out on a visit to Groot-Constantia before heading back to your hotel.
