Katherine
If you are behind the wheel of a 4x4 vehicle, visit the Jim Jim Falls and Twin Falls. make sure however to enquire about the condition of the road first especially during in the rainy season (Nov-Mar). Other options are a visit to the Warrandjan Aboriginal Cultural Center and the rock drawings in Burrungui. The road from Kakadu via Pine Creek to Katherine is a relaxing drive.

Katherine
Katherine is a busy town with a rich Aboriginal heritage and an important hub for the surrounding livestock farms. Nitmiluk National Park is some 30 km away and houses impressive, ancient, sandstone gorges. Opt for cultural activity in the Aboriginal community of Katherine or with the Jawoyn people in the area of Nitmiluk Gorge. Canoeing and hiking between the rock walls is also an absolute must

Litchfield
Today your return via the Stuart Highway. Schedule the stunning Edith Falls on your day planning and travel through Pine Creek where you will find a number of buildings dating back to the 1870 gold rush. You reach Litchfield National Park via the offramp in Batchelor. Swimming near the falls and simply unwinding by the pools is a favorite pastime for both visitors and locals.
