Your Travel Experience with connections-dynamic

15 km from the city center, at the top of the mountain from which the holy temple takes its name, you'll find Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep. To enter the “wat,” you must first overcome 309 steps flanked by Naga snakes. From here you have a spectacular view of the city. In the center of Chiang Mai you can admire the remains of the Wat Chedi Luang, a massive pagoda destroyed by an earthquake in 1545. Afterwards you travel to the San Kamphaeng region where you enjoy a delicious lunch. In the afternoon you will learn about local crafts, the pride of Chiang Mai.
